![]() Building on our Business Coaching Class, this course offers greater depth in the practice of business coaching. The concepts introduced in the Business Coaching Class -- Competency-Based coaching, Emotional Intelligence, alignment with learning objectives, coaching for soft skills development, and differentiating business coaching from EAP counseling -- form the basis for further discussion. This course moves your coaching practice to the next level through skill building, specific coaching techniques, and case examples. Demonstration role plays by the trainer show how to translate theory into practice. Practice coaching sessions give participants experience and confidence to expand their use of a competency-based coaching approach. At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Note: This class is limited to professionals who have already taken our class entitled Business Coaching: Leveraging EA Skills. This Coaching Practice class may be taken immediately after the Business Coaching class, making a two-day experience. Or participants may wish to attend this class after having some time to work with the ideas presented in the Business Coaching class. Cancellation policy: Cancellations must be submitted 7 days prior to the day of training. If you cancel, you can choose to receive a one-year credit memo for a future training of equal value, or receive a refund less a $50 processing fee. Cancellations made after the 7-day cutoff will result in a charge of the full course fee. If you cancel after the 7-day cutoff, you may send another person in your place. No refunds will be made for partially-attended classes. If a class is cancelled by Blair Consulting Group, a full refund will be given. ANDY LEFAVE, LCSW, CEAP, Senior Consultant Andy began his EAP career as an internal EAP at Motorola. He then founded Alliance EAP, serving high tech and similar clients. In the 1980s, he pioneered progressive EAP models that increased utilization and client retention. He introduced EAP coaching services to further integrate Alliances EAP into client company business plans. Since selling his EAP, Andy has worked with EAPs to promote business coaching as an added value service. Andy’s current focus is on consulting and training with EA professionals and programs, especially coaching and team development. He is a clinician, business executive, and experienced coach.
