New Business Development: Opportunity, Growth and Strategy


Purpose of the Course

Is your EAP up-to-date, nimble, and responsive to the ever-changing work environment? Do your services anticipate the future needs of employees and employers? Have you looked at new developments in work/life as well as health and productivity management? Or have you perhaps become stuck in an old way of perceiving your opportunities?

New opportunities await programs that identify trends, clarify workplace needs, and design services to meet those needs in creative and effective ways. This class will identify opportunities connected to changes in workforce demographics, diversity, employee attraction and retention, globalization, and other trends.

We will discuss specific approaches to marketing, sales, and growth planning. Examples include identifying target markets, getting your message out, proposal development, and of course, pricing. You will go away with ideas about how to telling the story about both existing and new services to help generate new business.

Brenda Blair brings her many years of experience consulting with all sizes and types of EAPs to help participants spot opportunities and realize them efficiently. Take this course and position yourself for future growth and success.

  • Review market realities: pricing, profitability, stability, competition
  • Identify ways to make new business development an integral part of your EAP

2007 Dates and Locations

Cancellation policy: Cancellations must be submitted 7 days prior to the day of training. If you cancel, you can choose to receive a one-year credit memo for a future training of equal value, or receive a refund less a $50 processing fee. Cancellations made after the 7-day cutoff will result in a charge of the full course fee. If you cancel after the 7-day cutoff, you may send another person in your place. No refunds will be made for partially-attended classes. If a class is cancelled by Blair Consulting Group, a full refund will be given.

About the Instructors

BRENDA R. BLAIR, MBA, CEAP, President Since 1983, Brenda has provided Fortune 500 employers and others with high quality, customized consultation and training on the design and evaluation of EAPs, managed care, and work/ life programs. She has worked in a multi-state EAP, a treatment center, and an international addictions organization. She was selected for the EAP Hall of Fame and the prestigious EAPA Member of the Year award. She has conducted training in the U.S., U.K., Japan, and South Africa.
